Historically, Procarbon has been a trusted trading partner, sourcing carbon products globally and supplying customers across the Nordic region. Our deep roots in this market remain strong, especially for traditional carbon solutions, where reliability and long-term relationships are key.

Since 2017, we have pioneered a new path—sourcing bio-based carbon products with the vision of supplying our Nordic customers with carbon-neutral alternatives. We quickly recognized the challenges of using traditional charcoal and led the way in developing briquetted solutions: denser, safer, cleaner, and more efficient.

Innovation that Matters

Our focus has always been on solving real-world industrial challenges. By experimenting with over 250 different binding agents, we achieved a major breakthrough in 2021 with R56, a plant-based binder that gives biocarbon briquettes the strength, durability, and process performance required by modern industry. This innovation, now patented, positions us at the forefront of sustainable carbon technology.

Today, we are preparing to scale production beyond 1,000,000 tons per year, offering competitive pricing and certification in line with European standards. For industries that still depend on carbon atoms in their processes, we provide the critical opportunity to replace fossil-based carbon with a green, renewable alternative.
